Police investigating following collision involving cyclist

South Bruce OPP continue to investigate a recent collision involving a van and a cyclist.

On July 28 at 6:34 p.m., police received a report of a collision involving a bicycle along Penetangore Row in Kincardine. Officers learned the cyclist was northbound on Penetangore Row between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. that day. As the cyclist passed the intersection with Kincardine Avenue, a mini-van turned onto Penetangore Row and struck them.

The vehicle is described as a silver-coloured minivan similar to a Dodge Caravan with tinted windows. Police want to speak with the driver as part of the investigation. The cyclist, a 48-year old Huron Township resident, reported minor injuries at the scene.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
