Driver seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash

Perth County OPP continue to investigate a recent two-vehicle collision that seriously injured one of the drivers.

On August 14 just after 7 p.m., Perth County OPP, the Stratford Police Service, Perth County Paramedics and the Perth East Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision on Line 34 near Road 125, just east of Sebringville.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a pick-up truck towing a trailer was travelling eastbound on Line 34, and stopped at Road 125 waiting to turn northbound. An SUV, also travelling eastbound on Line 34, crashed into the back of the truck and trailer while stopped.

The lone occupant of the SUV, a 37-year-old St. Marys resident, was taken to hospital by an ORNGE air ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated. Anyone who witnessed this collision should call Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
