Police lay charges following domestic dispute

A North Perth resident is facing charges following a recent domestic incident.

On August 17 at 10:30 p.m., Perth County OPP responded to a report of a domestic situation in which one person threatened the other. As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old North Perth resident has been charged with uttering threats to a spouse to cause death or bodily harm.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
