Police are reporting a happy ending to the search for a missing six-year-old boy in Sauble Beach.
Grey Bruce OPP were called to a home on Mapleport Crescent around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and officers searched the home and surrounding properties for the boy.
They believed he'd walked away from the home but didn't know in which direction.
Just after midnight, the boy was spotted by an OPP helicopter crew in a wooded area within a kilometre of the home. OPP Emergency Response Team members were able to get to his location and he was found safe.
An OPP canine unit, South Bruce Peninsula firefighters and Saugeen First Nation firefighters helped in the search.
