Saugeen Shores police lay charges in vandalism investigation

Three young people face charges after a string of reports of mischief in Southampton.

The incidents were reported back in mid-September overnight of the 13th to 14th.

Police say several locations in Southampton were targeted including Linear, George Marion and Perkins Parks, the Rail Trail as well as five homes. Obscene pictures and profanities were spray painted on homes, memorial park benches, signs and other areas.

The three young offenders face 17 charges including 12 counts of mischief under $5,000 and five counts of trespass by night.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
