Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation hosting online virtual conference today

The third session of the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation's Is the Cost Clear virtual conference takes place today.

The topic for today is Partnerships and Planning and discussions will be about the Lake Huron Lakewide Action and Management Plan, Healthy Lake Huron, A Model for Improving Water Quality in the Great Lakes, Effective Ideas for Indigenous Community-Based Participation in Resource Management and Lake Huron Forever: Two Shores, One Water .

The conference runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. this afternoon and people can log in to the conference by visiting www.lakehuron.ca/conferencelogin and inputting the password "huronwater".

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
