Military training exercises in Huron County this weekend

Huron County OPP are telling Huron Park residents not to be alarmed to see members of the armed forces in the area this weekend.

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) will be conducting military training in Huron Park this upcoming weekend.

The scenario based night-time training exercise will take place between 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 and approximately 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

Residents could experience higher noise levels during this time period.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
