(File photo courtesy of the Wellington County OPP)A Centre Wellington resident is accused of stabbing a woman and is charged with attempted murder.
Wellington OPP were called to a Fergus home around 7:40 a.m on October 17.
When police arrived at the Highland Road residence, they found a 59-year-old woman with serious injuries. She was taken by paramedics to hospital and has since been released.
A 27-year-old is now facing charges.
Police said the victim and the accused are known to each other.
The accused is in custody.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
