Three fire stations respond to Harriston fire

Two people had to be taken to hospital and the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office notified after a fire in Harriston late Tuesday afternoon.

The Minto Fire Department responded to the fire at an apartment building on John Street and two people suffered smoke inhalation. One person has been released from hospital, and damages are estimated to be roughly $50,000. The cause has been deemed accidental. The Office of the Fire Marshal was notified but will not be attending the scene, and the building has been turned back over to the owner.
