Saugeen First Nation fire under investigation

Grey Bruce OPP and investigators from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal are investigating the circumstances surrounding a structure fire on Saugeen First Nation.

Provincial police were called to the blaze on Highway 21 around 10 a.m. on Saturday. The fire was extinguished by Saugeen First Nation Fire Department.

Luckily, everyone inside the residence at the time was able to get out safely.

The fire is being investigated by OPP members within the Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit, as well as members from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
