No new COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario Tuesday

Huron Perth Public Health reported no new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.

There is one active case. There have been a total of 143 lab-confirmed cases in Huron Perth since the beginning of the pandemic.

Public health officials in Wellington County reported no new confirmed cases and five active cases. There have been a total of 120 cases in the county confirmed by a lab test. Across the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health region, there was one new case confirmed Tuesday, for a total of 54 active cases.

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported no new cases Tuesday. Seven active cases were reported. Since October 21st, there have been eight cases reported in South Bruce Peninsula.

There are no hospitalizations and no outbreaks reported in Midwestern Ontario.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
