Multiple new COVID-19 cases in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported six new cases of COVID-19 Friday. Three were in Owen Sound, two in South Bruce Peninsula, and one is in Southgate. There are ten active cases.

A COVID-19 outbreak continues at Cedarcroft Retirement home in Stratford, where there are now six confirmed cases.

Another two new cases were reported as well, one in Goderich and one in St. Marys. One of those cases was confirmed through an asymptomatic surveillance result. The other is a positive result that is being further investigated.

There are now nine active cases in Huron Perth.

There were no new cases reported by public health in Wellington County today, but there are eight active cases.

There are no hospitalizations or school outbreaks.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
