Kincardine to appoint new councillor

Kincardine council will appoint a councillor to fill the seat for Ward 3.

That will happen at a special council meeting on January 6 and the term of the position will be from the date of the appointment to when the new Council is sworn in after the 2022 Municipal and School Board Election.

In a public notice issued by the municipality, a candidate for municipal office must be a qualified municipal elector as set out in the Municipal Election Act.

And any qualified individual must submit a number of forms, including a Freedom of Information Release Form, with proper identification in person to the Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21.
