Virtual Owl Prowl set up by local conservation authority

COVID-19 forced the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority to make some changes to their annual Owl Prowl this year.

Conservation Educator Denise Iszczuk says for the past five years, staff at the Mountsberg Raptors Centre have brought live owls out to help celebrate the Owl Prowl. This year they helped with the virtual Owl Prowl on November 7th and they're also helping with another presentation on Saturday.

Iszczuk says the virtual presentation on Saturday will run from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be about raptors in general and will include hawks, owls, falcons and they also have an eagle.

So she says they're hoping to get to see live owls as part of that virtual presentation.

People can find more information about the virtual raptors presentation and how to register on the Ausable Bayfield website.
