Assault with a weapon charge laid in Meaford

A Meaford resident faces a charge of assault with a weapon, after two people were allegedly threatened in the hallway of an apartment building.

Police were called to a residential complex on Parker street West at 10:25 am November 29, 2020.

Police say two people were talking in the hallway, when a third person showed up with a baseball bat and made threatening gestures at them.

The 61-year-old woman has a court date in Owen Sound January 7, 2021.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
