Woman killed in crash near Wroxeter

A two-vehicle crash southwest of Wroxeter has claimed the life of a 37-year-old Kitchener woman.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Tuesday shortly before 6:38 p.m., a pickup truck and sport utility vehicle collided head-on on Brussels Line (Huron County Road 12) just north of C Line Road.

The driver of the SUV, 37-year-old Krystal McEwen of Kitchener, was rushed to hospital but was later pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

The driver of the truck was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.

Brussels Line (Huron County Road 12) has been closed between Amberley Road and Harriston Road as a result of the crash.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
