Linton Re-Elected as Wellington County Warden

Kelly Linton has been re-elected as the Wellington County Warden.

At Wellington County Council’s inaugural meeting on December 11th, current Warden and Centre Wellington Mayor Kelly Linton, was re-elected Warden for the 2021-2022 term. Warden Linton has represented the constituents of Centre Wellington since 2010, serving as Mayor and on County Council since 2015. He was first elected Warden in 2019. The meeting was held virtually via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Linton has a Master's Degree from the University of Guelph in Public Policy and Administration. He has over 20 years of working experience as a consultant with other Canadian municipalities.

“It is an enormous privilege to be re-elected as Warden for Wellington County,” says Warden Linton. “I am grateful for this extended opportunity. COVID-19 has been a real challenge for all of our residents. I will continue to work hard to protect the health of all residents and on the County’s economic recovery.”

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
