Pedestrian sent to hospital following motor vehicle collision

Owen Sound Police are looking for the public's assistance in finding a vehicle and driver after a collision sent one person to the hospital.

At about 7:40pm Saturday, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of 9 th Street East and 3 rd Avenue East. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
