Wingham woman wins top prize on a scratch ticket

A Wingham grandmother has some added Christmas cheer after winning $75,000 playing an instant scratch game, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

“I started shaking! At first, I thought this can’t be real. Even the retailer didn’t believe it until he scanned it for me. I think I turned white as a ghost!” said Doiron.

Claudette Doiron plans to pay some bills and enjoy Christmas with her family.

The winning ticket was purchased at C.E. Mactavish on Josephine Street.

“I feel very blessed by this win and the opportunities it will provide,” Doiron concluded.
