Police dealing with domestic assault calls

Huron County OPP have had to deal with a couple of domestic assault reports.

One was called in December 14 in Huron East. Police say other incidents were then reported, allegedly in 2019 and from earlier this year. A 26-year old from Bluewater faces multiple charges including assault causing bodily harm and sexual assault.

And an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh resident faces charges after police were called December 9 about three separate instances of physical assault. A 61-year old faces assault charges and a charge of careless storage of firearms.

In both cases the charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
