Ring for Santa

Hanover's Town Crier is encouraging people to help guide Santa on Christmas Eve.

Jenn Olivero says a Facebook group put together by town criers from all over the world has gained steam to try to create some positivity.

And at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, people are encouraged to step out of their homes and ring a bell.

"About 150 countries going from Canada to South Africa, Japan, Croatia, Australia, just to name a few," said Olivero. "We're really encouraging our community members, friends and family to participate and help create some Christmas magic and something positive and fun."

The Facebook group, labeled 'Ring a Bell for Santa' is public.
