Bluewater District School Board ready for remote learning

The Director of Education for the Bluewater District School Board is highlighting a number of resources that families can use once remote learning starts after the Christmas break.

In a letter to parents sent out Tuesday, Lori Wilder outlines the board's plans for students. Elementary students will follow remote learning Monday, January 4 and be back in class January 11. Secondary students will be remote learning January 4 to the 25.

The letter also addresses access to technology as the board will reach out to families after the Christmas breaks to make sure needs are met.

There are also Mental Health Resources available to support students including Kids Help Phone and School Mental Health Ontario which has many resources for students and their families. The Bluewater Board has set up a mental health and well being page on their website at bwdsb.on.ca.

Wilder ends the the letter stating that the board, its teachers and all of those involved in education are working towards a smooth transition in learning for the month.
