Grey County to negotiate new 9-1-1 contract

Grey County staff are set to negotiate a new contract for Owen Sound Police Services to continue 9-1-1 call centre services for all emergency calls made throughout Grey County. Grey County Council made the recommendation at their final meeting of 2020.

A report to council stated they have received excellent service to date. Owen Sound Police Services (OSPS) has been a leader in making required upgrades so systems meet Next Generation 911 capabilities and decommission existing services.

Grey County’s contract with OSPS expires this year and an increase of about $14,000 in 2021 is anticipated.
