COVID-19 cases rise in Grey Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 16 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday (5 – The Blue Mountains, 4 – Huron Kinloss, 2 – West Grey, 1 – Arran Elderslie, 1 – Georgian Bluffs, 1 – Hanover, 1 – Neyaashiinigmiing, 1 – Southgate).

There have been 518 confirmed cases to date. There are 46 active cases currently, and 23 Active Probable Cases. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.

There are 129 high risk contacts. Two patients continue to be treated in hospital.

There are no active outbreaks across the region.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
