COVID-19 outbreak at local school declared over

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has declared the outbreak of COVID-19 associated with Normanby Community School in Ayton over.

Outside of the initial cases attributed to this outbreak, there have been no further transmission of COVID-19 within the school environment, and all staff and students and their families that have undergone testing are clear with a negative test result.

GBHU thanks all of the staff, families, and students at this school for their dedicated work in preventing any further transmission of COVID-19 in the school environment.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
