North Perth OPP report copper wire theft causes extensive damage

An OPP report says the theft of copper wire from a home under construction in Listowel caused $10,000. in damage.

Perth County OPP officers were called January 5th to investigate the theft of wire from the new home site on Keeso Lane.

Police report that this is not the first time that new home construction sites have been targeted in the North Perth area. The Perth County OPP is asking the public to call police immediately to report suspicious activity.

Anyone in the area who may have video surveillance of the area is also being asked to check recordings for any relevant information.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
