Police investigating residential break-in theft

Wellington County OPP are investigating a recent theft that occurred as a result of a residential break-in.

On January 5th at 2 p.m., officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence located on Birmingham Street in Mount Forest. Police were told that sometime January 2, 2021 and January 5, 2021 unknown suspect/s gained entry to the locked residence by breaking a rear window with a rock. The home was then ransacked and jewellery and a laptop were stolen.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
