Two arrested after being found in stolen vehicle

Two people were arrested after being found in a stolen vehicle in Perth East.

On January 6th just after 2 p.m., Perth County OPP received a traffic complaint on Perth Road 121, south of Millbank. The vehicle in question eventually came to a stop after running out of gas on the roadway, where officers located two occupants inside. The investigation revealed that the white cargo van they were driving and the licence plates were stolen. The driver and passenger were both arrested at the scene.

As a result, a 36-year-old from Kitchener and a 27-year-old from Waterloo are facing numerous charges including Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (two counts). The accused were both released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
