Snowy midweek drive

A snowy drive this morning with a snow squall warning up for Huron and southern Bruce. There's a weather advisory for Perth and northern Grey.

Bruce County Roads Department is describing highways in their jurisdiction as snow covered and snow packed with some slippery sections. There is some drifting in open areas.

Visibility is good to fair with the exception of Highway 21 where visibility is reduced from Goderich to north of Tiverton and Highway 9 from Walkerton to Harriston.

Roads in Grey County are snow covered to track bare with slippery sections and some drifting. Visibility is good to fair.

In Huron and Perth Counties roads are partly to mostly snow covered with moderate drifting and slippery sections.

Visibility can be reduced at times.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
