Bruce County approves Community Paramedicine Program

Bruce County has approved a Community Paramedicine Program. Paramedics will help provide care to patients with significant medical needs or strained caregiver supports.

Paramedics will help support residents to remain in their own homes longer. That includes Palliative patients with an identified advanced care plan, as well as community crisis patients waiting for Long Term Care

The LHIN provided funding of $123,241.67. The county hopes to work with local health care partners to expand the program in the future.
