Students in Grey and Bruce return to class

School buses will be on the roads in Bruce and Grey this morning.

Schools are reopening as students in the Bluewater and Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Boards return to class.

There are some added COVID-19 measures, that includes those students in Grades 1 to 3 are now required to wear masks on the bus and at school.

Students are asked not to congregate before and after school.

There will also be expanded, targeted, voluntary COVID-19 testing for students, staff, and their respective households.

Last week the province announced that schools in several health regions could reopen.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
