Fire causes major damage to Grey County home

Fire caused extensive damage to a home in the Township of Chatsworth.

Grey Bruce OPP were called to assist Chatsworth firefighters at the scene on Holland Sydenham Townline at about 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Police say there were no injuries.

The Township of Chatsworth Fire Chief deemed that the fire was not suspicious so the investigation is now complete.

The roadway is now reopened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
