Police seeking suspect following $5,000 smash and grab

Perth County OPP are seeking a suspect following a recent break-and-enter theft in North Perth.

On January 31st just after 2 a.m., the unknown suspect broke into a business on Mitchell Road South, Listowel, through a locked drive-through window. The business had closed for the night, and was not occupied.

After gaining entry, the thief stole $5,000 worth of cash. The suspect police are seeking was wearing dark clothing with a balaclava and gloves when the break-in and theft was made.

Police are reminding the public to contact police immediately if they see anything suspicious in their community. If anyone has any information regarding this crime, contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
