No injuries after morning fire in Wingham

The Fire Department of North Huron says there are no injuries following a structure fire this morning in Wingham.

Deputy Chief Chad Kregar says the call for fire was on Mary Street in Lower Wingham, and did require a full response from both North Huron Fire stations.

Kregar says members of the department remains at the scene, and the department's Twitter account describes it as an "Active Incident".

There are no injuries, and there is no risk to public safety.

Damage is estimated at approximately $180,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
