Snowmobiler seriously injured in Saugeen Shores

A man was badly hurt during a snowmobile crash in Saugeen Shores.

Emergency crews were called to a no-winter-maintenance between Concession 10 and Concession 14, road shortly after 2:15 a.m. Friday after a driver of a snowmobile hit a pole.

Upon arrival, police located a 39-year-old man who sustained serious injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.

The man was extracted from the trail and taken to the Grey Bruce Regional Health in Southampton and later transported to London Health Sciences Centre for additional treatment.

Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
