UPDATE: Charges laid after crash in Mapleton Township

**Updated as of 4:08 p.m. Thursday, February 18th**

OPP have now laid charges following serious crash just east of Alma in Mapleton Township in Wellington County.

At about 6:45 a.m. on February 17th, Wellington County OPP, Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 17 east of Alma.

Police say a pick-up truck collided with two other vehicles.

Two drivers were transported by ambulance to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. The third driver was not injured.

A 21-year-old male resident of Mulmur Township has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Operate Motor Vehicle No Insurance, and Improper Tires.

The Wellington County OPP is continuing the investigation and is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision to please call 1-888-310-1122.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
