Perth County paramedics to support local health initiatives

Perth County Paramedic Services will use one-time funding to help its Mobile Integrated Health programming support access to local health care.

The $35,000 will be split to support a couple of programs.

$10,000 will be used to support clinics that will be scheduled in Stratford and Listowel that serve those who are at risk of homelessness and experiencing mental health and addiction challenges but do not have access to primary care.

And $25,000 will be used to support the Frail Seniors’ Strategy, which helps seniors with complex medical needs.

The money is a one time allocation from the South West Local Health Integrated Network, which will flow through the Nursing Practitioner Outreach program which is administered by the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.
