Snowmobiler injured after collision in Owen Sound

On February 20th at about 1:30 pm, Owen Sound Police were dispatched to the snowmobile trail running between Superior Street and 8th Street East regarding a sled hitting a tree.

The investigation revealed that a 43-year-old Shelburne resident failed to negotiate a turn and struck a tree.

The collision resulted in a broken wrist and significant damage to the sled.

Owen Sound Police continue to conduct an enforcement initiative on the snowmobile trail and remind snowmobilers to obey the posted speed limit.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
