COVID-19 cases added Friday in Midwestern Ontario

Huron Perth Public Health added four new cases of COVID-19 Friday, two in Stratford, and one each in Perth East and North Huron.  There are 21 active cases and one person is hospitalized with COVID-19. The outbreaks continue at Seaforth Manor and Stratford Jail. There have been 49 fatalities.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added just one case of COVID-19 Friday, in Huron-Kinloss. There are 16 active cases. Two people are in hospital. There are no outbreaks.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Wellington County Friday. There are 26 active cases, and two people are in hospital. The death toll in Wellington stands at 32. The outbreak at Caressant Care Long term care in Arthur continues, as well as Wellington Terrace in Fergus.  Across the Wellington Dufferin Guelph region, there were 27 new cases Friday, and seven people are hospitalized.  There are 140 active cases.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
