Police note dangerous driving around Listowel schools

The Perth County OPP is ramping up traffic enforcement after some concerning incidents in Listowel.

In recent weeks, there were a number of what police call 'concerning driving behaviours' observed near Listowel District Secondary School and Listowel Eastdale Public School.

Police monitored the area and a number of drivers were charged for things like careless driving and unnecessary noise. A pair of younger drivers had their driver's licences suspended and their vehicles impounded for seven days after being charged with alleged stunt driving near the schools.

Police are say aggressive driving, especially around school safety zones, can be very dangerous especially with the increased pedestrian traffic.
