Confirmed COVID-19 case associated with Ripley-Huron Community School

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is working with Bluewater School Board to address a confirmed case of COVID-19, associated with Ripley-Huron Community School in Ripley.

The health unit reported that while there is an individual with COVID-19 associated with this school, their assessment, to date, indicates that transmission did not take place within the school environment. No bus routes of any schools are involved with this case.

A media release reported the individual with COVID-19 was contacted directly by the COVID-19 Case and Contact Management Team.  Then contact tracers identified all others, both in and out of the school environment, who may have been exposed and have determined their risk level.

Any cohorts that have been identified as contacts to the case have been excluded from school at this time.
