HPPH monitoring COVID case associated with school in North Huron

Huron Perth Public Health is monitoring a confirmed case of COVID-19 associated with FE Madill Secondary School in Wingham.

A letter was sent to the school community over the weekend.

A second letter was sent noting a symptomatic high-risk contact in connection to the confirmed case.

The students and families of the impacted class have been notified by health officials.

Schools in Huron and Perth are out this week for their spring break.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
