Police investigating fatal crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian

Huron County OPP are investigating following a fatal crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian from WIngham.

On April 13th at 2:30 a.m., officers responded alongside Huron County Paramedic Services to the scene of a reported crash on Blyth Road, Huron County Road 25 just east of Council Line. First responders found a pedestrian laying on the road that had been hit by a vehicle travelling east on Blyth Road. Paramedics attempted to perform life-saving measures, but the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Regan Keyes of Wingham. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries and later released.

Investigators from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team arrived at the scene to assist with the collision investigation. Blyth Road is now open. Police would like anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the crash to call Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
