Public health in Wellington County expands vaccine registration

Everyone over 16 in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph can now pre-register for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment.

Public health says they are still following the province's framework so those that pre-register may not get their shot until June.

However, in a statement Monday, officials say pre-registering will ensure residents get a vaccine as soon as it is their turn.

Of the eligible residents, 25% in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

They are hoping to have 75% vaccinated by June.
