$1,000-per-ticket online video chat cancelled by Ontario PC Party

The Ontario PC Party has removed a $1000-entry "An Evening with Doug Ford" event from its website and says it has been postponed.

The event was also to feature Minister of Municipal Affairs Steve Clark, and Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson.

The online zoom conference was scheduled to run from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Ontario Liberal leader Steven Del Duca had called the event "farcical", but Ford was not the only political leader headlining events during the pandemic aimed at raising cash....Prime Minister Justin Trudeau held a virtual fundraiser for the federal Liberals on March 31st.

The post appeared prior to news that the Premier was self-isolating after one of his staffer's tested positive for COVID-19.
