New cases of COVID-19 reported in Grey-Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health unit reported seven new cases of COVID-19 yesterday.

Two are in Owen Sound, two in Grey Highlands and one each in Saugeen Shores, South Bruce Peninsula, and Georgian Bluffs.

Of the 103 active cases of the novel coronavirus in the two counties, 44 are variants of concern.

Four people are in hospital in Grey and Bruce with COVID but there are five cases transferred to local intensive care units from other jurisdictions that are not among the local case counts.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
