Stunt driving charges laid in Perth County

Perth County OPP were quick laying stunt driving charges after two separate incidents.

Police say a Huron East driver was stopped on Perth Line 32 around 10:00pm April 16th, after it was found to be travelling in excess of 170km/h in an 80km/h limit zone.

As a result, police have charged 30 year old Jason Whyte-McCabe of Seaforth with Race motor vehicle - Excessive Speed.

Also, on April 18th, just before 5:00pm, police stopped a vehicle on Perth Line 20, after it was found to be travelling 140km/h in an 80km/h limit zone.

The driver, a 43 year old man from Germany, has also been charged with Race motor vehicle - Excessive Speed.

A seven day driving suspension and seven day vehicle impoundment was given to both drivers. Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
