Residential fire in Mount Forest contained, no injuries reported

Wellington North firefighters have contained a residential fire they were called to this morning in Mount Forest.

Just after 10:30 a.m. this morning, the Wellington North Fire Service was called to a fire in the area of Church Street South and Albert Street. Minto Fire's aerial assisted.

The fire started in a garage and spread to an adjacent home. Most of the damage was contained to the roof, which has now partially collapsed on both structures.

All occupants were out of the building when crews arrived and no injuries were reported. The fire is not suspicious in nature.

Cause and damage estimates are not currently available. Firefighters are clearing scene, the road is now open.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
