OPP investigating fatality at a Huron County farm

Huron County OPP report first responders located an unresponsive victim when they were called to a farm property located on Cranbrook Road south of Ethel.

OPP officers along with Huron County Paramedic Services and Huron East firefighters responded about 11:30 a.m Thursday morning to find a victim without vital signs. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team and the Huron OPP Crime Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

The cause of the death is part of the ongoing investigation.

There is no threat to public safety.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
