Police lay charges following assault

Perth County OPP arrested and charged a 38-year-old Listowel native following a recent assault.

On June 1st just before 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the Municipality of North Perth. During the investigation, police determined that the vehicle had not been stolen, but an assault had occurred at a residence on York Avenue North in Listowel. Police located and arrested a 38-year-old without incident and charged them with Assault and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking.

The accused was held for a bail hearing. If anyone has any more information regarding this incident contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
